US National Breastfeeding Rate up to 18 months

US National Breastfeeding Rates. This shows the percentage of babies who received any breast milk at all (at the breast or via alternative methods).

 

The US Government’s Healthy People 2010 objectives for breastfeeding in the early postpartum period, at 6 months, and 12 months are 75%, 50%, and 25%, respectively.

The current Healthy People 2020 objectives for breastfeeding in the early postpartum period, at 6 months, and 12 months are 81.9%, 60.6%, and 34.1%, respectively.
